State contacts organize to get signatures on the Declaration in their local communities and work to get the Declaration into the hands of officials who influence policy in their state. State contacts also serve as our point people for any on-the-ground organizing WDI USA does in that state. Every state that is highlighted purple has a state contact, and you can click the state for more information.

Gray states still don’t have a contact. Volunteer with us if you’re interested in becoming the contact for your state or would like to get involved in other ways! You can also fill out this application if you want to apply directly to the state contact program.

Is there important new legislation in your state? Tell us about it through our state legislation portal.

Here’s what one woman has to say about our State Contact program:

Being a State Contact has plugged me into a network of radical women all across my state – I had no idea there were so many of us! Aside from meaningful work and activism, I’ve also gained friends in my city. Sometimes women feeling desperate and lonely reach out to me after finding our website, and it’s gratifying to be able to help guide them towards opportunities for both activism and community.
