On August 10, WHRC USA President Kara Dansky spoke outside the Loudoun County Public Schools building to support parents rallying in opposition to policy proposal 8040. The proposal allows students to use restrooms, and participate in sports, based on “gender identity” rather than biological sex, thus obliterating the sex-based rights of girls in the district.
Local activist Natassia Grover introduced Dansky, noting, “We are always hearing ‘Where are the feminists in this fight? Why aren’t they standing up for women and girls?'” Then she brought Dansky onto the floor.
The board voted the next day to adopt the policy, over the clear opposition of a majority of concerned parents and residents.
