TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT
- Share-a-Ride Limo/Sedan Service: $28.75/person, plus gratuity; available in the Ground Transportation Center, located on the first floor of the garage as you exit the terminal.
- Taxi Service: Available at the curb on the lower level of the terminal just outside of Baggage Claim (“Taxi Station”). To call a taxi, simply press the green call button. There is a $15 minimum charge for all fares from the airport, regardless of distance. The average fare to downtown is $35.
- Uber & Lyft: Uber and Lyft services are available from the airport to your selected destination. When using these services for pick-up, exit the terminal to the Ground Transportation Center on the first floor of the Terminal Garage.
- IndyGo’s Route 8: Provides non-express, fixed route service from the airport to downtown for $1.75 per ride. This route takes approximately 50 minutes.
ATTRACTIONS
- Hudnut Commons: A compact green space with lawns and a fountain located immediately in front of the Westin.
- White River State Park/Canal Walk (9 min walk): The perfect urban getaway with seven world-class attractions, miles of trails, and acres of open greenspace.
- Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art (7 min walk): One of only two such museums east of the Mississippi, the Eiteljorg explores the diverse arts, culture, and history of the American West and the Indigenous Peoples of North America.
- Indianapolis Zoo/White River Gardens (16 min walk): 64 acres of both indoor and outdoor animal attractions as well as 3 additional acres of outdoor gardens. Includes one of the largest chimpanzee habitats in the country, one of the largest groups of orangutans in any American zoo, one of the largest flocks of macaws in North America, and more than 20 species of snakes from around the world.
- Madam Walker Legacy Center (17 min walk): Once the headquarters and manufacturing plant of Madam C.J. Walker Hair Care and Beauty Products, the Walker building boasts much of its original 1927 architecture.
- Mass Ave Arts District (19 min walk): This five-block area is ripe with restaurants, theatres, art galleries, and a number of eclectic, independent boutiques.
- Bottleworks District (9 min drive): A hub for lodging, entertainment, and commerce with an abundant selection of food as well as Garage Food Hall, Living Room Theater, and Pins Mechanical.
- The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis (9 min drive): Celebrating 100 years, this museum is one of only three collecting children’s museums in the world. It offers five floors of indoor exhibits and 7.5 acres of outdoor sports experiences. It was rated #1 Best Children’s Museum by USA Today and one of the 10 Coolest Museums in the World by the New York Times.
- Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields (11 min drive): Among the 10 largest and oldest general art museums in the nation, this 152-acre campus features art galleries, gardens, and the historic Lilly House.
- Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum (14 min drive): After a $61 million renovation completed in April 2025, this newly revamped museum promises a high-octane experience you won’t forget, with a new 6,000-sq. ft. mezzanine level, educational exhibits, and experiences for race fans, including the can’t-miss Starting Line Experience with immersive sound and video.
