Protect Women’s Sports: Take Action

H.R. 734 is the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023.” It would amend Title IX to do two things: – Prohibit recipients of federal funds from permitting men and boys from participating in athletic programs or activities that are designed for women or girls; and – Define sex as “based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.”

This bill aligns with Article 7 of the Declaration on Women’s Sex-Based Rights, and WDI USA supports it. Earlier this month, the U.S. House Education and Workforce Committee passed the bill on a party-line vote.
