It is never easy to hear about all of the ways gender identity ideology insidiously inserts itself into women’s issues. Maternal health is one of those issues. Umi Rey shows how this ideology dehumanizes Black mothers and perverts the sacred bond between mother and child. Instead of cherishing and nurturing this relationship, it is exploited and manipulated for political gain. This is an assault on the very essence of womanhood and motherhood. We must expose it and resist it at every turn.
