Lorraine Nowlin, facilitator of WDI USA’s Black Women’s Caucus, interviews writer and historian A’Ja Lyons. A’Ja earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Iowa State University and is a 2021 Best of the Net nominee. Her powerful essay, “Holding Truth On The Loneliest Nights,” was included in the anthology, “She Holds The Line: Black Women Speak on Gender Ideology,” edited by writer and filmmaker Nevline Nnaji (N3VLYNNN).
