WDI USA signs onto brief filed by several women’s groups in support of the Supreme Court accepting certiorari in Martinsville v. AC

In this case, a female student who claims to be a boy demanded permission to use the boy’s bathroom at her school, the school said no, and she sued. The 7th Circuit eventually ruled that “gender identity” should be able to supersede sex for the purpose of determining school bathroom use. This was in stark contrast to the 11th Circuit’s December 2022 decision in Adams v. St. Johns County, which had come to the opposite conclusion – that maintaining single-sex bathrooms is consistent with both Title IX and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.
