Requirements for Transfer to Women’s Facility

The transgender committee is responsible for determining a permanent housing assignment for each transgender or intersex offender, and prior to this assignment shall meet with each offender to determine his vulnerability within the general population and length of time living as the acquired gender. Within 10 working days of the meeting with the offender, the transgender committee review form shall be completed and forwarded to the transgender review team. Within 10 working days of receiving the transgender committee review form the transgender review team shall complete the review and approve the recommendations as submitted, or with modifications to the PREA site coordinator.
