Relating to the prohibition of certain discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity or expression; providing an administrative penalty.
WHRC USA opposed because the bill provides that “gender identity or expression” replace sex as a protected category wherever there is a conflict between “gender identity or expression” and sex. WHRC USA notes that the organization fully supports the protection of equal rights for all people who do not conform to sex-role stereotypes, but opposes the bill as currently written because the language is incoherent and discriminatory to women.
