The State Legislative Advocacy team wrote and submitted written Testimony opposing a Vermont bill that would permit so-called “puberty-blocking” drugs and wrong-sex hormones to be administered to minors for the purpose of disguising their sex.
The bill, H. 659, further provides that the drugs can be administered to minors not only without parental consent, but even without parental knowledge.
Our Testimony cites Articles 1 and 9 of the Declaration, as well as recent scientific studies to argue against the bill’s passage.
We encourage you to bring any similar bill in your state to our attention, so that we can similarly oppose it. Alternatively, feel free to write your own personal Testimony, using ours as a model, and submit it directly to your own state representatives.
